บริษัท เอสซีเอ็ม เซมิเทค อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด ก่อตั้งขึ้นในปี พ.ศ. 2546 โดยการร่วมทุนระหว่างบริษัท บริษัท แสงชัยมิเตอร์ จำกัด แห่งประเทศไทย และ บริษัท เซมิเทค อิเล็กทรอนิกส์ จำกัด (มหาชน) แห่งประเทศสิงคโปร์   มีอาคารสำนักงานใหญ่ ตั้งอยู่ ณ อาคารพูนศักดิ์ ชั้น 5 ถนนพหลโยธิน แขวงสามเสนใน เขตพญาไท กรุงเทพมหานคร ประเทศไทย 

ทางบริษัทฯ ดำเนินธุรกิจเกี่ยวกับการขาย และการให้บริการหลังการขาย อุปกรณ์เทคโนโลยี สารสนเทศ และการสื่อสาร (ICT) ได้แก่ โทรศัพท์มือถือ (Mobile Phone) คอมพิวเตอร์พกพา (Pocket PC) และอุปกรณ์สารสนเทศต่างๆ

ปัจจุบันทางบริษัทฯ ได้รับการแต่งตั้งอย่างเป็นทางการจากผู้ผลิตสินค้า O2, HP iPAQ, SPV Smartphone, Dallab และ Siemens Mobile ให้เป็นศูนย์ซ่อม Authorized Service Center ของสินค้าดังกล่าวในทุกสายผลิตภัณฑ์    ทางบริษัทฯยังได้รับการแต่งตั้งจาก O2 Asia ให้จัดตั้งศูนย์ O2 Helpdesk เพื่อให้บริการข้อมูลทางด้านเทคนิค และวิธีการใช้งาน แก่ลูกค้าผู้ใช้งาน ผลิตภัณฑ์ O2 และเปิดเคาท์เตอร์ O2 Repair Drop Point ณ โชว์รูม แสงชัยมิเตอร์ ถนนพหลโยธิน เพื่อเพิ่มช่องทางในการรับเครื่องซ่อม O2   และต่อมาทางบริษัทฯ ยังได้รับความไว้วางใจจาก Siemens Limited Thailand ให้เปิดศูนย์ Siemens Mobile Care Center ขึ้น เป็นสาขาแห่งที่สอง ชื่อว่า สาขาจตุจักร ตั้งอยู่ ณ อาคารแสงชัยมิเตอร์ ชั้น G ถนนพหลโยธิน เพื่อรองรับการให้บริการหลังการขาย และเพิ่มช่องทางในการรับเครื่องซ่อม Siemens รวมถึงการจำหน่าย Accessories แท้ของ Siemens

SCM Semitech Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd is a Joint Venture between Thailand's Sang Chai Meter (SCM) Co., Ltd and Singapore's Semitech Electronics Ltd

SCM Semitech (Thailand) is based on a synergistic cooperation between two business allies. The local operation in Thailand is managed by a team of young and energetic staff from Sangchai Meter (SCM) Co., Ltd With 45 years of experience in repairing electronic and electric instrument, Sangchai Meter has sufficient knowledge in managing reliable repair operation, handling electronic spare parts, as well as an ample pool of technicians to provide large-scale repair services and technical support. Being the largest distributor of electronic measuring devices and factory automation products in Thailand, Sangchai Meter also has high quality infrastructure and financial resources to support the local operation.

On the other hand, Semitech Electronics Ltd is a leading provider of mobile phone and consumer electronic product repair services in Singapore. Its main customers include Nokia, Samsung, Motorola, 3COM, Hewlett-Packard, and Haier. It currently operates 7 service centers in Singapore. With its existing businesses, Semitech Electronics Ltd can easily contribute to the partnership in terms of business process, human resource training, information technology, testing equipment, and business know-how.

About Sang Chai Meter Thailand

Founded in 1957, Sangchai Meter Co., Ltd is currently Thailand's largest distributor of electronic measuring devices and factory automation products for manufacturing industry. It has four main business lines, generating more than 400 million Baht of revenue in 2001. The four business lines are:

• Sales of electronic measuring devices and factory automation systems.
  
• Sales of educational training and demonstration kits to educational institutions around the country.
  
• Industrial instruments calibration laboratory for electrical, temperature, pressure, and humidity measuring equipment (ISO-IEC Guide 25 Certificate).
  
• Repair and Service of measuring devices for industry and consumer electronic products.
